1. magnesium+ acids= gas bubbles+_______+carbon dioxide
2.aluminium+ acids= no reaction , right?
3.zinc+ acids= hydrogen+ heat energy +_______
4.iron + acids=________________________
5.copper + acids=_________________________-

why salt? it is not neutralization?? aluminium is tough as it react with oxygen,isn't it?

(1) For Mg reacting with acids, there are gas bubbles given out which is H2 but there should be no CO2. Salt's also formed in the reaction and heat energy is given out as well.
i.e. Magnesium + Acids ---> Salt + Hydrogen

(2) Al should have reaction with acids. Only metals lower than Cu in the reactivity series have no reaction with acids. Heat energy is given out in the reaction.
i.e. Aluminium + Acids ---> Salt + Hydrogen

(3,4) Similar to the above cases,
Zinc + Acids ---> Salt + Hydrogen
Iron + Acids ---> Salt + Hydrogen
Heat energy will be given out as well.

(5) As mentioned above, Cu has no reaction with acids.

---- may be it is a wrong question. Mix with magnesium & acid, no any carbon dioxide

2.aluminium+ acids
---- Not necessarily! it is because aluminium oxide (Al2O3) form when the aluminium appear in the air on the aluminium surface. Aluminium oxide is a inertia chemical compound, it cannot reaction with any weak aicd, like citric acid.
But it can reaction with strong acid, like dilute sulphuric acid & hydrochloric acid to form
a aluminium salt.

3. zinc+ acids= hydrogen+ heat energy +_______
---- zinc+ acids -> hydrogen+ heat energy + zinc+2 ion (zinc salt)

4. iron + acids=________________________
----iron + acids -> iron ion + heart energy + hydrogen

5. copper + acids=________________________
----copper + acids(con.sulphuric acid, cause copper only reaction with oxidizing acid )
-> SO2 + Cu+2 + H2O
