DF - Baresi + Beckenbauer + Desaily
Baresi, well known to be one of the best ever defender in the world, will play at the deepest role of the defence line. King Kaiser and Desaily both had the skills, pace, strength to mark different kinds of forwards and Baresi's layback provided further cover and determinations to them.

DM - Rijkaard + Redondo
Rijkaard could play a more defensive role as he usually did in both Ajax and Holland, while Redondo, with his incredible techniques and match-reading ability, as well as creativity, ensures the support to frontline players. This combination forms an effective and efficient engine room at the heart of the team.

RM/LM - George Best + Cruyff
Best played fantastic attacking football during his relatively short spell in ManU during the 60's but his ability to change a match could hardly be denied. Cruyff, as one of the greatest footballer in the history, was arguably able to play all positions and therefore I'd put him on the left to balance the team's attacking and defending options.

AM - Diego Maradona (with King Cantona his backup)
So could you think of any one playing better that Diego in this position? Cantona's passion and ability was also amirable but there's no one comparable to Deigo Maradona in this area.

FW - Batistuta + Baggio
Baggio would play like a trequatista instead of a centre forward or shadow striker. His performances as a trequatista in the Italy national team were comparable by neither his predecessors or successors. After Baggio, Italy still couldn't find a suitable replacement in this position - neither Del Piero nor Totti could fulfill the role. Batigol - powerfull forward with fabulous skills over the ball, unbelievable killer instinct in the box, passionate throughout the matches - he was one of the best complete striker in the history. Van Basten could aslo do the same thing, but he's a bit injury-proned.
