Yet I do not sleep.
My eyes rain,
But I cannot weep.
You see I dream of peace,
While I'm wide awake.
I'm afraid crying,
Would cause me to break.
So I stand firm,
And I put on a mask of pride.
While I hide,
All the pain inside.
Like a cancer,
That eats away my soul.
Leaving just a shell,
To live on and grow old.
What makes a baby grow,
From a loving slate?
Into a man or woman,
That preaches hate?
That would deny,
The very love of kin.
And want to fill the world with misery and sin.
When we should,
All embrace the love.
That's been given,
By the God of Love!

Fayewred, I beg to differ. I write peoms as a response to some of the injustices I see here on yahoo. I am very optimistic in other writings. Furthermore, religion doesn't ruin the world. It gives hope to the world. Misuse of religion and God's Word causes harm. Those cries are committed by men. Not God.
