Because Australia and NZ also have Salamanca and Victoria.

For example:

Australia Victoria is a state located in the south-eastern corner of Australia
However, Mount Victoria is in Wellington, NZ.

Australia Salamanca is located in Tasmania, a waterfront district of Hobart
NZ Salamanca is then in Wellington, NZ ( not too sure)

Actually, there's even Salamanca in Chile, a town in Choapa Province
Salamanca (Madrid), a neighborhood and district in the Spanish capital.
