What are some points about the benefits animal testing has on other animals, eg vetinary medicine?

Im doing a debate we are pro animal testing. The point i am going to cover is that animal testing gretly benefits animals, as well as humans, and then i will describe a case study/ scenario thing.

-animals have rights just like we do,and humans have no power to force animals to do what they dun wanna be-should'nt use anyone or any animal to be the tester

i agree, stop animal testing. Technically, couldn't u use normal shampoo on ur pets? they were tested on them to begin with. :S

It REALLY does benefit animals. Just like all the medicines made for humans are tested on animals, all the medicines made for animals are tested on animals. We may have killed 'x' number of animals in testing, but we have sure as hell saved a lot more than 'x' number with the medicines we gained form it.
Just think about everything vets do to animals, they need to have tested it at some point to know how it works and what side effects it does. I am STRONGLY in favour of animal testing, an I am veterinary student here in England if that makes any difference.
