A car is driven over a hmp-back bridge in the form of a circular arc of radius 12m.
Determine the greatest speed of the car can ave if it is to remain in contact with the ground.

The condition that the car to be in contact with the bridge is

mv^2/R = mg
where m is the mass of the car, v is its velocity, and R the radius of the circular arc(=12m), and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

Thus, v^2 = gR = 10x12 (m/s)^2
and v = sqruare-root(120) m/s
