At 8 weeks it is going to be very difficult to tell how big she is going to get just by looking at her paws and her current size.

But, she IS going to be a big girl!

Most likely she will be 120 - 130 pounds, since it appears that the Rotty and Mastiff are showing to be the dominate breed traits showing through.

She'll have a pretty big growth spurt in about 4 to 6 weeks from now - her weight will probably almost double in that time (as long as you are feeding her a good quality food).

Around 6 months of age you'll have a better guess at her adult average weight - she'll be about halfway there.

Since she's definitely a large breed puppy, be sure that she is on a large breed puppy food, and a good one (the large breed formulas have more protein). Also, if you plan on doing any type of sports with her (agility training, for example), keep in mind that her joints will not be ready for jumping until she's about 18 months.

Look into some basic obedience training NOW, since she will be very hard to handle (most places allow you to start training them once their basic puppy shots are completed, usually around 10-12 weeks)

She sure is a big girl, and pretty too! A lot will depend on the way the breeds have combined in her, but they're all good sized dogs so there's no way she's going to be a light-weight.

Judging by her weight now and her parentage she'll most likely grow to be somewhere between 100 and 120lbs. Early weight and estimations of size are not always accurate as your puppy still has plenty of growing to do and sometimes the ones that get a head start slow down later and the little ones take over!

It's very important with a large breed puppy to be sure to feed a good quality, large breed puppy food so that all her nutritional requirements are met. You do not want to encourage too rapid a weight gain as this can lead to bone and joint problems (rottweilers are prone to hip dysplasia). Do not add extra calcium to her diet as this can also have the same effect.

Even when she's full grown watch her weight, just because she's a large breed dog it doesn't mean she should be overweight. Obesity is a major health concern for dogs today.

I own and breed rotties and have found that no matter how big they are, they're always convinced they're the perfect size to fit in your lap! You may want to convince her otherwise before she reaches 100lbs plus, I know this because I occasionally get tired of trying to watch TV around the huge, snoring dog who's made himself comfortable on my knee.

Good luck!

AWWWW! i had a rottweiler that recently died in he storms but he was about 115 pounds. Akita's are fairly small but mastiffs are quite large. So i would guess between 110-115 pounds. By the way akitas and rottwielers are both very protective dogs. so make sure that the puppy has it's space when it gets older.

guess about right in the middle of those two weights. she is going to be a big girl.

A possibility of inbetween 100-140 pounds, because it's a she.

Your puppy does not look like a Rottweiler he looks more like a German Shepard. The head would look bigger if it was a Rottweiler. Between the ears would be more squared off if it was a rottweiler and it is not it is the shape of a German Shepard. My mother has a German Shepard and thats what your puppy looks like. Could one of the parents have been a German Shepard. Your puppy is very cute and I bet he is going to be a big dog. the paws are big . Good luck with your puppy.
