You can use your 3G phone if you have roaming service and you are using 3, Smartone, 123, 1010. And you can use it in all areas in Seoul. Whether you can use it outside Seoul, it depends on which company you are using.
You cannot use your 3G phone if you are using Peoples and you have to rent a phone from Peoples (but you can use your own number).
