對英文苦惱的問題

vocab 問題,o岩我~~

我覺得,比較多用,而又係解承認既,有4個,以admit最常用:

1. admit
比較中性既承認,唔一定係認錯...有好多時候都可以用:
This ticket admits two people.
I must admit that you are correct.
You have to admit that it is the fact.

2. confess
講confess先係因為confess既用法又係比較clear cut,用黎認有罪
He confessed being unfaithful to his girlfriend.
He confessed to cheating on the exam.
其實confess都可以講其他野,不過唔prefer囉...

3. concede
多數係承認失敗
The candidate conceded the election before all the votes are counted.

4. recognize
係比較正式咁承認一d野
Many countries recognized the new government.
To recognize this is as a fact...
不過日常比較少咁用

我要admit一樣野, 就係這4個字都有其他meaning,唔係只係解承認架

recognize 果度打錯字To recognize this is as a fact...多左個as, 應該係to recognize this is a fact

dont translate directly from chinese. dead end ! have to understand the whole and full meaning then find out the right words or terms.

you hv learnt a wrong method. i was misled by my 'ought to be shot' school teachers too. most of the english teachers in hkg failed the english level tests, some even failed many yearly exams!

admit(承認)係最適合嘅英文.
