我想問merchandiser是做什麼的???

Merchandiser is the personnel who takes care of the merchandise (商品). There are different types of companies - buying office, importers, retailing shop, buying agents, trading firm and manufacturers, will provide position for Merchandiser. However, in different company settings, the job descriptions of Merchandiser varied.

In buying office, its function is more like buyer. In trading firms and manufacturer, its function is more like sales.

In general, the job is related with the whole process of the merchandise from its design, development, purchasing of materials, production, shipment schedule control till the merchandise reaching the hand of the final consumer. In small company, merchandiser may need to take care all these area. In big company, it could also be carrying out data input. It could be big variation.

Some company only requires merchandiser to handle information and paper work, some company may need the merchandiser to involve in the technical aspect, such as quality control, ..
