nickle free 即不合有毒金屬物質 azo free (不含偶氮) 主要是用在成衣或布料上. Actually; when the goods are shipped to Europe; All the metal products cannot contain "nickle" item. Such as metal buckles; buttons zippers, etc.. All garments or fabric must be "AZO FREE". When you purchase such accessories, you have to mention "nickle free". When you purchase fabric; yarns etc., you need to write down "Azo Free".

Both Nickel and Azo (Azocolorant) are toxic/ harmful to human.

Exposure to nickel metal and soluble compounds should not exceed 0.05 mg/cm³ in nickel equivalents per 40-hour work week. Nickel sulfide fume and dust is believed to be carcinogenic, and various other nickel compounds may be as well

Normally, these two requirements are needed most for goods export to European countires. The goods need to be tested and pass by relavant Laboratories before being shipped. These Labs include Intertek, Bureau Veritas, SGS, etc.
