咩叫"本科生"?

Let's say you are person A. Your study major is Law. For example, this Business Law course is a mandatory course for you to obtain your Law degree. You taking that Business Law course, you are that course's 本科生.

Person B's study major is English Literature. This person B would like to take that same Business Law course but as an optional course (since he/she doesn't need that particular course to get the English Literature degree). So, person B is not considered a 本科生 for the Business Law course.

In some universities, 本科生 has first priority for the course if there are too many people wanting to enroll in a course.
