想裝部機做Server, 以下配置合適嗎?

穩定性如何, 同埋OS 用 windows xp 好定係 windows server 2003 好.

做咩server?

ftp server / file server 你要又大又快o既harddisk, 160G點夠

database server 你最好用個快好多o既CPU同裝多o的ram

定係web server/mail server/etc.?

穩定性? 咁你幾多人用你部server, 每小時流量呢?

你會唔會成日o係console用部機?
咩version XP?
XP home edition基本上唔係設計俾你做任何server, 當然你可以咁用

If your server is using for some kind of evaluation or testing, that's OK. But don't make it as a prodution server. You should consider how reliable of your motherboard too, some motherboard is not designed for running as server.

For Windows server 2003, you should require at least 2GB RAM, 1GB is very margin.
