已經有人回答過呢個問題，希望可以幫到你…因為當上螺絲的時候會發出「咦咦at at」的聲音，廣東人就將這種聱音比喻為人們說話結巴，講野「咦咦at at」。
「食螺絲」出自香港演藝人行內術語,意思係有如口內含著螺絲說話,無法清楚。

食螺絲 = Screwed-up
Screwed-up is a less offensive way of saying someone made a mistake in the US. The offensive way is "fxxxed-up" Think about it...screw vs. fxxx are the same. Just remember, quite a few HK expressions have their origins from the US and to a less extent, Europe.
