Consider A:No. of half-lives = 45/9 = 5
Activity = Ao(1/2)5 = 0.03125Ao
Consider B:
No. of half-lives = 45/15 = 3
Activity = Ao(1/2)3 = 0.125Ao
Total activity
= 0.03125Ao + 0.125Ao
= 0.15625Ao
