All are examples of the "underdog" who fought a greater majority power. Therefore, all were evidence of courage under fire (so to speak.)

I envision a lion cub standing up to the leader of the pride (head of the pack). You may have another picture in your head. Anyway you look at it, it's the underdog winning.
