係美國用電話同上網問題 (20分)

1. 如果想有手提電話, 有冇d plan係短期租個number咁架?(唔使簽約)
Yes, they call prepaid.

2. 如果有, 又幾多錢到?有冇公司介紹?
You can use Verizon (TDMA), Cingular and T-mobile (GSM). They charge around 25 cents per minute, depends on which plan you picked. You can go to Wal-mart, K-mart, Target to buy a prepaid phone, the cheapest one is cost around $20+ tax, that include a phone and $10 card, that will valid for 30 days, a $25 card van valid for 90 days.

3. 香港用開ge手機係果度用唔用到?
Yes, if you use Cingular or T-mobile, but some functions that you can not use. If you decide to use your phone, then you have to go to the carrier's store to open a prepaid account, it cost around $25 for a sim card and $10 card (airtime).

4. 又有冇d短期租線上網架?
Yes, some of the dial up service pay per month, but it is very slow.

5. 如果有, 又幾多錢到?
Around $20

6. 當地有冇d類似香港ge網吧?貴唔貴架?
Even the Barnes and noble (bookstore) has internet, I think is around $15. In our area some supermarkets and some chain cafe has wi-fi, you don't have to pay, just bring your notebook. When you rent your place, check if they have internet service, some may included or need to pay a little extra.
