Hong Kong Certificate of English - Oral Exam Workshop (Form 5)

This is a one-day workshop to help students prepare for the 2007 HKCEE oral exam. The workshop helps you become familiar with the exam format and gives you the opportunity to practise the necessary skills and strategies for the group discussion and individual response tasks. Video recordings are used to evaluate your performance.

Form 5 Language Boosting

This course helps students prepare for the HKCEE examination by developing all-round competence in English. In addition,

students will have access to the Multimedia Study Centre and will receive an HKCEE self-study pack so that they can maximise

their opportunities to practise the language and skills required for the exam.

This course runs over an 18-week semester starting in September and includes progress tests.

Classes are likely to include learners over the age of 16.

Hong Kong Certificate of English - Exam Skills (Form 5)

This course prepares students for the HKCEE exam by focusing on specific examination skills using HKCEE style

questions from all four papers. Students will get plenty of exam practice and teachers will give expert feedback.

This course is available in February.

February Semester only

Classes are likely to include learners over the age of 16.

Skills for the Use of English (Form 6)

This course is for Form 6 students who plan to study for the Use of English AS level and want to continue to develop their English language ability at post-Hong Kong Certificate of English level. It is a two-semester course starting in September which helps you develop strategies for studying and preparing for the exam. At the same time it improves your accuracy and fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Preparing for the Use of English (Form 7)

This course is for students in Form 7

who plan to sit the Use of English exam as well as for students who left school after Form 6 and wish to prepare for the exam. The course runs over two terms. It starts in September and finishes in March, just before students sit the exam. It helps to improve the speaking, listening, reading and writing skills necessary for success in the exam. The course also develops examination techniques and strategies and there is an intensive revision component in the second term.
