As this is an investment in Mainland of China via an oversea company say, incorporated in BVI or Cayman Islands. You are representing this oversea company for any issues on this investment in an limited company ( CC ) in Mainland of China. You are acting as the 'legal representative'. Whenever there is a dispute or an enquiry from Government, the Representative has to answer or give a representation under the law.

If you don't have sufficient knowledge of the China law and the operations of this CC in Mainland, it is too risky for you to take up this role whether you have a benefit or not.
