We celebrate Christmas in Hong Kong is for the remembrance of the birth of Jesus. This celebration has been carried forward from the time when Hong Kong still belonged to England. That's why Christmas is celebrated in Hong Kong and not in China.

There is not something in particular that we eat for Christmas, however, some people will follow the Westerners and eat Roasted Turkey, otherwise known as the "Christmas Dinner".

For those religions that believe in God and Jesus, such as the Christians, they will go to Church during Christmas and sing carols on streets on Christmas Eve to spread the news of Jesus.

Christmas is a celebration for Jesus Christ. It is the day on which Jesus Christ was born in a stable in Bethlehem. We celebrate Christmas so as to remember our great Savior and to thank Him for His arrival in the world. At the same time, people want to meet each other and to greet to each other in Christmas. We Hong Kong people usually eat Western dinner in some restaurants. We have steaks, sausages and sometimes turkey for dinner. We will exchange presents with friends or family members in Christmas. We may hug each other and hope everyone will be peaceful for the next year.

I hope I can help you.
