1)A ball and ring apparatus is used to show expanion with heat.The ball is made so that it just passes through the hole in the ring. The ball and ring are both made of the same matal,explain why the ball cannot pass through the hole after it is heated strongly for 3 minutes.

the ball was made of metal(唔係matal,冇個咁ge字...) and after heating the metal ball, the ball will expend due to the particle inside move more freely. when the ball was heated strongly the ball is larger than before it was heated. since the ring didn't get heated, the ring didn't expend and stayed at the same size. the ball is now bigger but the ring didn't expend. that is why the ball cannot pass through the hloe after it is heated.
