In titration, if it is said that 'X is titrated against Y', then will X be in the burette or in the conical flask, or the vice versa?
May anybody help me as this concept is very important for the colour changes, while I am confused about it!

Traditionally, X against Y, Y should be in the conical flask. However , nowadays many books didnt follow this tradition...my teacher told me it was not important for which one was against which....just remember...for the one in the conical flask, the volume of it should be fixed and known!i hope it can help u
