ya唔係粗口。只係有時d鬼佬同朋友吹水等不是嚴肅的對話時，講yes字比較煩，因為yes有s尾音，ya的發音較yes易，所以說ya代替。就好似講廣東話都好少人會字正腔圓一樣，英文口語係方便講。例如百佳0既英文名parknshop，其實是park and shop（拍低架車同買野）的意思。個n字代替and，讀輕聲n。可見口語溶入生活，甚至寫埋出黎。至於將the讀成da。係因為英文會將不重要的字讀得快d，所以the變成較易讀的da。仲有將字的尾同下一個字的頭一齊讀。例如make up會讀成make kup。可以慳番個k的ka音同合番埋個口講up的麻煩。
