will be coming VS will come?

will be coming 未來進行式,表示那個動作會持續一段時間

will come 普通未來式,動作沒有持續一段時間之意.

很多時這2個字是可以互用的,至於用那個是要看你想表達的意思.

例:

1.) I will come home tomorrow around ten.
(我明天10點回家)

2.) The tradition of fishing in this country will be coming to an end soon.
(這個國家的捕魚傳統快會消失了[快會到達完結這個狀態])
{這裡用進行式,因為傳統不會瞬間忽然消失的,是持續一段時間慢慢消失.}

樓上說的: will be coming 在時間上比will come 更接近現在的時間,在這裡補充一下.以上的例2,如果稍改一下:The tradition of fishing in this country will come to an end one day.(這個國家的捕魚傳統終有一天會完結的)由於完結的時間和現在距離很遠,所以持續的一段時間看起來就好像瞬間似的.例如某個動作會維持1天的,用在下星期時就要用進行式,如果用在10年後,就可以用普通的未來式,因為一天和10年比,根本就可以當成是瞬間.

其實以上的例句,只是通常的用法. will be coming或will come其實互換來用,文法也是沒有錯的,要用哪個字,其實最主要是要看你想表達的意思,而不是文法.如果有錯,請各位高手指教.

根據那個網頁,未來進行式的其中一種用法:Use the Future Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the future will be interrupted by a shorter action in the future.中文可譯為:未來完成式可用來表達,一個未來的較長的動作,給另一個較短的動作打斷.(較長的意思即是時間較長,即可以解作在持續進行中,並不是瞬間的)

I Will Be Coming

很多人（包括有些老師）都說「進行式是表示那個動作會持續一段時間」，但這其實是一個誤會！（可能是 continuous 這字令人有持續的感覺）

進行式其實可以有不同的意思，但最主要的用法是描述在某一個「短時刻」「正在」發生事情。
例如：
I am answering your question right now. (強調這一刻我在做的事）
I was watching TV when she rang me. (強調她電話來那一刻，我在做的事）
The train will be arriving at 9pm. (強調 9pm 那一刻，火車會到達。「到達」這個動作不可能持續一段時間吧）

如果要描述事情發生並會持續一段時間，很多時用 perfect continous tense 會更適合。

Simple future tense 是（根據已有的資料而）作出對未來的預計：
例：The weather tomorrow will be warm and sunny.
例：They will come tomorrow. 他們明天會來。

Future continuous tense 是描述在將來某一時刻，會發生的事，所以，是比 simple future tense 更加肯定。
例：The train will be arriving at 9pm.
因此，Future continuous tense 也會用來描述在正常情況下，認為將會一定發生的事，
例：Once the war is over, they will be cutting down on staff.
及 Future continuous tense 也會用來描述計劃或意向
例：I'll be seeing you when I've finished my work.

其實，simple future tense 及 future continuous tense 還有其他的用法，所以「will be coming」及「will come」會似乎情況可能會有不同的解釋。但一般而言「will be coming」會比較肯定，而「will come」就只是一個預計。

例子：
I'll come tomorrow. 我（預料）會來的（但可能我還未完全立定主意）
I'll be coming tomorrow. 我打算來／（廣來話直譯）我嚟緊（表示很確定會來）

To ももがおいしいわ既然我說「很多人(包括一些老師)都說「進行式是表示那個動作會持續一段時間」」，你在網上找到不少這說法是完全正常。我這麼說當然有我的理由，其實，我看過不少英文 Usage 書及網站，也對英文有多年的接觸，加上我現在的工作全英文的環境，所以我有此結論。我發現不同人或書或網站會對英文時態文法有不同的描述，其實很多時只是對同一的文法從不同角度去理解，很難說那一說法是絕對正確或錯誤，但有些說法會容易理解及應用。

e.g. we will be coming at 10:00 tomorrow

而 will come 屬一般未來 , 意旨說話的人在說話時決定做的動作
e.g. Oh, I've left the door open. I'll go and shut it.
