Warehouse is old word, out.
You can think of : A Hub.

A Warehouse is a place to store the goods.
But, it need to link to different hubs, like a star network.

There is another word : SPOKE

Think of a bicycle Wheel.

the HUB is in the Center, while the Spoke is the 輪輻, there are many
thin metals linking the hub to the Spoke.

In the logisitics network, you may have several hubs , eg. one in HK,
one in Shanghai, to cover the speed of services to the Spoke .


Role of Hub ;
a. Store the goods
b. check the goods, repacking or something like that
c. serve a region, with reasonable distance from the hub, for time and cost.
d. suppport other hubs.
