used for telling someone not to move: 不要動
e.g. Hold still while I brush your hair.


hold tight

1 used for telling someone to hold something, so that they do not drop it or so that they do not fall:
e.g. Hold tight when we go round the corner!

2 used for telling someone to wait and not do anything or not worry:
e.g. Hold tight there and I'll go and get him.

eg I am taking a picture of you, smile and hold still.
When you are a passenger in the motorcycle, you have to hold tight.
