英文文法 no records or no record Singular / plural / countable?

正如你所說，no之後用單數與複數形都可，要根據個別情況而定。當然，若後面的是uncountable noun時，就要用單數形。
record是可數名詞，所以，而且往往record都並不是單指一個record，所以多數會說：no records，但有時你要強調一個記錄都沒有，也可說：no record.
case 1與case 2是用了兩種筆法
case 1的found是past participle作形容詞用來修飾records，所以直譯可作：沒有尋到的記錄（文化雖沒有錯，但意思頗奇怪，也不是本意；本意是找不到任何記錄）
case 2：用了被動語氣，意思是正確：找不到任何記錄，但文法有些問題，既然說找不到，就是已經嘗試找過，所以are應用were：No records were found.
case 3: Entry當然絕對不是pronoun，pronoun是代名詞是指I, We, You, He, She, it等等。
Entry可解作進入，項目，帳目，或參加比賽的名單，相信在這裏作帳目或項目解，是一個countable noun，但4 records of entry，則有些問題，因為既然entry是可數名詞，若entry用作單數時，前面必須加冠詞，所以，這句應為：4 records of the entry或4 records of entries.(指各類項目中有４個記錄）

For no reasons 既 說 「 沒 有 理 由 」 ， 為 什 麼 不 用 單 數 的 reason ？ For some reason 的 reason ， 為 什 麼 反 而 不 用 複 數 形 式 ？ For whatever reason 用 單 數 ， 是 因 為 whatever 之 後 必 須 用 單 數 名 詞 嗎 ？

Some 除 了 解 作 「 一 些 」 ， 還 可 指 「 某 一 個 」 ， 其 後 用 單 數 名 詞 。 假 如 你 對 某 事 物 並 不 清 楚 或 不 想 清 楚 說 出 ， 有 時 可 用 這 個 字 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） Some man called you while you were out for lunch （ 你 外 出 吃 午 飯 時 ， 有 人 打 電 話 找 你 ） 。 （ 2 ） For some reason he voted against the motion （ 由 於 某 個 原 因 ， 他 投 票 反 對 動 議 ） 。 例 句 二 的 reason 改 為 reasons ， 句 子 意 思 就 變 成 「 由 於 一 些 原 因 」 。
Whatever （ 無 論 什 麼 ） 和 no 一 樣 ， 其 後 名 詞 可 用 單 數 或 複 數 ， 視 意 思 而 定 ， 例 如 ： If for whatever reason / reasons you don't want to come, you don't have to come （ 無 論 是 什 麼 一 個 / 一 些 原 因 ， 你 不 想 來 ， 就 不 必 來 ） 。

三杉淳兄：回答問題不必放人家在腳下來提高自己第一：There are no records found我並不是指文法錯誤，而是意思古怪。與你的例句不同：there is no bread left（直譯：沒有遺下的麵包：意思非常正常），但發問者的句意是：尋找不同記錄

而no record are found，你卻說不出它的手法，其實是用了present tense代替現在完成式用：如I hear that he has been abroad several times = I have heard that ...（此種用法大致見於hear, be told, see, understand, forget, read, learn....等情形中）

由解釋(2)可見 record 是 countable.
Now, we turn to your question: No 後面的名詞是 plural 定 singular ?
你說得對，可plural 可 singular，視乎情況。

There are no records found. (Case 1)
No records are found. (Case 2)

這兩句用上 no + (plural)，都比較恰當。請細看下面解釋。

No 後面係 Singular 定 Plural?

1. Uncountable nonus 之場合
首先，係 uncountable nouns 嘅話想加都冇得加。
凡不可數名詞，因為沒有plural form，所以在任何情况下， no 一字之後的 uncountable nouns 是不需要加 s。例如: There is no bread left.

2. Countable nonus 之場合
係 countable nouns 之場合，則視乎用途。請看以下例句:
公園外最常見的告示:
No dogs are allowed. 意思指所有狗都不准內進 (not just a single dog but all dogs are not allowed)。
但要強調， No dog is allowed 在文法上是對的。
一般來說， no + (plurals) 的場合比 no + (singular) 的場合要多。

About you case 3, I do not quite understand what you mean by ENTRY as a pronoun. Entry here means 項目. ENTRY here is not a pronoun. As a matter of fact, ENTRY can be a countable or uncountable noun. We can simply say 4 entries but 4 records of entry is by no means incorrect. Entry here is treated as an uncount noun.

以 grammar 論 grammer， There are no records found. (Case 1)及No records are found. (Case 2)的文法是沒有錯的，一切正常。其中 No records are found 一句用上 present tense 是指現在的檔案顯示沒有紀錄，比用 no records were found 更傳神，更能表達現時的狀況，如用 past tense 只能表達過去，但過去是指剛過去還是幾個月前的舊記錄呢？
