French and German, which is better for me

I am a Form 5 boy, and I want to learn a language in this summer. My English is quite good. So I want to know which, French or German, is more easy for me and which is more useful in Europe. And where in Hong Kong can I take these language courses?

I think French is better than German but there is another choice for you which is Spanish. And Spanish is quite similar to French, I mean the wordings and structure but easier to learn.

You can use French in most of the countries in Europe and also Canada. But Spanish can be used through most of the countries in Eurpoe and North and South America.

Anyway, learning more language is good for you and you may go to see some movie or listen to those music so as to feel which language you like most.

For the language course, I do think HKU SPACE is a very good and reputable body in HK for language learning although the fee is a bit high. Compare to private tutoring, SPACE is quite a good choice for you. Or the school of contunuing education of HK Baptist U is another choice which costs around HK$1,500 for a 3-month course.

You can go to these 2 bodies and check it out.

I regretted I didn't choose German "Deutsche" when I was young.
I'd imagine that knowing German would be a good tool to learn technology and engineering.
So, it depends very much on what direction you want to head in the future. In terms of art and liberal sciences and music.

Well. German is a little bit like English but if I choose I will chose French. Cause I'm very gd at French. The sentences in German is very strange. They put I at the back of the sentence instead of putting it in the front. The sentence structure is French is just like English. I prefer to learn French!! That have to determain which place are you going in Europe.

Well, in terms of ease, I'd opt to choose German as its pronunciation is not as difficult as French does. I've never learnt German, but I've heard that grammar of German is indeed hard to master. However, talking about French, grammar is equally hard.

Obviously, French would be more useful in Europe, as the language could be used in France, Luxembourg, Canada (most importantly, Quebec!), Belgium etc. Application of German, however, is quite limited.

In HK, you can consider Alliance Francaise if you'd like to learn French.
I'll not introduce you to take courses from HKU Space as it's quite expensive, although Alliance Francaise is not anymore cheaper =v=" Anyway, AF is the most reputed organization in learning French, and lecturers are also very kind and helpful.
As for German, that should be Goethe Institute I suppose? But I've heard that it's very costly.

Hope that this could help :)
