Budget to go NZ/SYD

Queenstown, Auck n Chrischurch (Chch) got local tour, just go to the information center to book, check price etc.

IF u just planning to stay in hostels in Queenstown, Auckland n Chch about NZ$50- NZ$70 each per night. Your holiday time maybe is queenstown winter festival. which mean queenstown a lot accommodation will full.

I think New zealand foods n clothings maybe expensive then sydney, but accommodation and some of transports should be cheaper.

First, if you only have 8 days holiday, i don't think you can travel through all the place you planned to visit in nz, since Queenstown, Chrischurch in south island and Auckland in north island. also domoestic flight between south and north is qutie expensive, especially end of June considered high season (schoo holiday). So i suggested you either visit the South or North.

I personally suggested to go to South Island, you can visit beautiful Queenstown, southern alp Mt Cook etc. there are local tour, you can look for it in tourism centre or travel agencies in nz. If you stay in YHA or backpackers it will be about NZ$20-30 as i remembered...spending in Queenstown will be a bit more expensive as it is a tourism town. I am not too sure about the budget, but air ticket to nz is about AU$600+...

I personally think compare with nz, travel in Sydney will be cheaper...but still, nz is a worthy place to visit :)
