Living in the UK

I'm going to exchange in UK for a year, I'll go to "Sheffield"
I wanna know how much approximately I need to spend?
The accommodation is fixed at £3,000 - £5230, but I would like an estimate of the other living costs, like food and leisure
Also, I'll probably travel to other places of Europe during vacations, so can anyone tell me the amount I have to prepare?
Thx!

it depends on how you live and what kind of thing that you want to do!

Like myself, I spend about £600 every month ( inc council Tax, --- if you are student, you dont have to pay tax!). The cost is including rent, bills, moblie phone, internet, foods, bus fee, sometime go to cinema or go to bar to a drink or dinner with my mate.... etc. I seldom use more than £700.
However, that £600 is excluding "shopping" fee, what i mean by "shopping" is like shoe shopping etc.

Europe Vacations: last July, I went to travel with my mate 10 days trips, inc Paris, Vanice anf Rome,I spent about £500 in total. the money is including going to mussmum, flight ticket, hostel ( i am staying in YMCA!), However if you want to stay in hotel that will a lot expansive
