如果是用於電腦方面的,是顯示卡晶片的一個類型
DDR是 DOUBLE DATA RATE 的縮寫。意思即是將SYNCHRONOUS DRAM(SDRAM) 的資料傳送效率增加了一倍,但卻沒有將時脈 (CLOCK RATE) 增加,故稱為DDR。而因為DDR SGRAM的雙倍傳送效率,所以在新一代的高階顯示卡上都採用了DDR SGRAM。


DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) 近年也常見於美國舞蹈圈子內,是關於舞蹈改革。

DDR 即係 Double Data Rate, 係 SDRAM o既一種. 一般 SDRAM 只有一條 channel, 讀同寫唔同可以同事進行, 但 DDR SDRAM 有兩條, 令到讀寫可以同時進行, 所以稱之為 "Double Data Rate"

Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR (known as Dancing Stage in Europe) is a music video game series produced by Konami. It was first introduced to Japanese video arcades in 1998, after being shown at the Tokyo Game Show earlier that year. Since then, the game has gained significant popularity elsewhere in the world, including large portions of North America, Europe and Australia. As of 2005, over 90 official versions have been produced, including those for home video game consoles. The Dance Dance Revolution series is a subset of the larger Bemani series of music video games. As of 2007, there are over 1,000 songs featured in all versions of DDR worldwide. The game is played on a dance pad with four arrow panels: left, down, up, and right, or 6 arrows (the 4 main directions plus right and left diagonal panels, known as solo mode). These panels are pressed using the player's feet, in response to arrows that appear on the screen in front of the player. The arrows are synchronized to the general rhythm or beat of a chosen song, and success is dependent on the player's ability to time and position his or her steps accordingly.

雙通道同步動態隨機存儲器(雙通道同步動態隨機存取記憶體)即DDR SDRAM (Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory) 為具有雙倍資料傳輸率之SDRAM,其資料傳輸速度為系統時脈之兩倍,由於速度增加,其傳輸效能優於傳統的SDRAM。 由於傳統SDRAM在運作時,一個單位時間內只能讀\寫一次,當同時需要讀取和寫入時,便要等其中一個動作完成才能繼續進行下一個動作,而DDR SDRAM則解決的這項缺點,由於讀取和寫入可以在一個單位時間內進行,因此效能便會提升兩倍,這也便是為何DDR SDRAM的時脈要自動乘以二的緣故。
JEDEC為DDR存儲器設立了速度規,並分為了以下兩個部分:按記憶體晶片分類和按記憶體模塊分類

DDR-500: DDR-SDRAM 記憶晶片在250 MHz下運行(非JEDEC制定的DDR規格)

PC-2700內存模塊指工作在166 MHz下的DDR-333內存晶片,其擁有2.667 GigaByte/s的帶寬
PC-3200內存模塊指工作在200 MHz下的DDR-400內存晶片,其擁有3.200 GigaByte/s的帶寬
