✔ 最佳答案
普通正常的說法是 What are they doing? 但也有情況可用
They are doing what? 而不算錯誤的. 比如:

Dad: What are the kids doing out there?
Mom: They are burning all your golf clubs.
Dad: They are doing WHAT?

即對答案感到難以致信, 以為是耳塞聽錯, 或者用手機聽不
清楚, 用 They are doing what? 是不算 grammatically incorrect.

A: Hey, what's up? What are you doing?
B: Shopping in Mong Kok.
A: What? What did you say?
B: SHOPPING. IN MONG KOK.
A: You're doing what?

"They are doing what?" is Chinglish
It should be:

What are they doing?

what do they doing ?

usually, you should say
"What are they doing?"

But if you heard people saying," They are doing what !"
that might imply nothing have been done or bad thing had been done.

of course it is wrong!
it should be :what are they doing?
, if they are going to do something: what are they going to do?
參考: me
