Need advice in changing cat food

Friskies got plenty of added flavour, that's why your cat love it but don't like the other food. It just like you are eating KFC, now suddenly mix KFC with rice, which one will you choose? That's why your cat seems picky!

As far as I know, Royal Canin should be tasty among the medium price cat food. Although it is not really good for the Ingredients, however, it is acceptable.
For the high price cat food, natural balance should be tasty too. The ingredients is better than Royal Canin, however, the taste of Royal Canin will be better.
Therefore, what I advice you is to give Royal Canin to your cat first. After your cat can stand Royal Canin, change to Natural Balance.

50/50 is a too big change. Try to add a few piece, maybe 10/90, then 20/80....until you can change it all into the new food. I know there are some place that they have small size of Royal Canin... you can try to give your cat kitten formula first, if it is not successful, try the fussy cat formula.

when he was kitten to adult cat la, s'time he has to slim a bit la, s'time clean his teeth, or some hv anti-furball formula. anyway, Friskies is not as good as the other cat's food cos it's always hv 2 much 'favour' inside. that's y cats loved it so much!!

so...... u may try royal canin..... it's nice.......n my cat took it like all this yrs. even thou i was changing food wt diff function 4 him. but i m stil using royal canin. they got multi function food's types 4 diff cat needs.

at the v 1st, my cat ate their 'kitten' formula, then after 1 yr old......changed to 'indoor'... cos my cat never go out. now he is taking 'slim9;....haha! cos he is a bit over weight.

n while changing cat's food 4 ur kitten... u hv to mix the new food wt ur old 1. u can't just change it instantly. say u add 20% of new food mixed into his old food......then u increase like every few days.......until it all changed.

Pls get more varieties / brands of cat foods samples from pet shop first, your cat is very sensitive to the taste and therefore you really need to take time to observe which brand he or she will like.

At the 1st 2 weeks of trying new foods, you have to mix the new with the existing brand by 50/50. And then gradually change to new:old by more adding new, such as 70/30, 90/10....

At the begining stage, perhaps your cat has totally no interests on other healthy food brand, I would suggest you to mix with some healthy brand canned food which may raise her interests to eat, and gradually get rid of the Friskie.

If you could, pls let me know which brands you have ever tried, pls prepare your mind to try more than 2 or over 2 kind of brands.

Do not change the cat food all at once. Mix in 1/5 of the new cat food at first, wait until he finish all the food, then mix in 2/5 of the new cat food next time, vice versa.
