Vincent：是美國著名民謠歌手唐麥克林(Don Mclean)於七十年代為紀念著名畫家梵谷(Vincent Van Gogh)而寫作和主唱的。

梵谷生於一八五三年荷蘭南部北不拉奔(Noord-Brabant)的贊德特鎮(Groot Zundert) 。他的父親是一位牧師，表兄是風景畫家，兩位叔叔是畫商。少年時期的梵谷曾分別在倫敦、巴黎和海牙的畫店當店員，也曾在比利時的一個採礦區當過傳教士。

梵谷一生懷才不遇，他的油畫、水彩、素描等作品共有一千七百多幅，但在世時只賣出一幅《紅葡萄園》(The Red Vineyard) 。一八八九年二月，三十五歲的梵谷由於工作過度引致精神失常，割下自己的左耳。五個月後，梵谷自願進入法國南部聖雷米精神病院。一八九零年七月，梵谷吞槍自殺，當時他只有三十七歲。

梵谷早期作品大都以農民和農作物為題材，顏色偏向暗淡，其中最具代表性的是《吃馬鈴薯的人》。
