I am to inform you that...... (i.e. I have been told to inform you)我受託通知你...(所以有責任)
They are to be married in May.
The book was not to be found.(i.e. could not be found)那書根本找不到了
If I were to tell you假設我告訴了你(但這假設用法一定要用were)
He was never to see his wife and family again(i.e. Although he did not know this time, he did not see them again)
We are to be married in May.
Every member of the party was to pay his own expenses.
At what time am I to be there?
The telegram was to say that she had been delayed.
