雞蛋仔在五十年代已經出現,是香港地道街頭小吃之一。以雞蛋、砂糖、麵粉、淡奶等造成汁液,倒在兩塊特製蜂巢狀鐵製模版的中間,放在火上烤成。倒出來的雞蛋仔呈金黃色,有蛋糕的香味,加上中間是半空的,咬下時口感特別。

還未到達小販攤檔,遠遠已嗅到雞蛋仔的香味,而且它的外觀也十分吸引,每粒雞蛋仔都是金黃色;而它最特別的地方是它半邊空心半邊實心,因此吃下去時鬆脆可口,特別有口感。
