火車證是 "購買", 而不是 "申請" 的... 如果你不乘火車, 基本上根本不用買火車證...
假如你跟團之後 stay behind, 又只會乘一兩程火車, 就不用買了... 你沒有實際行程, 難以評估火車證是否對你有幫助

There is no need to apply for a travel card, you can just get the return tickets from the station. Depends on where exactly you want to go, you may want to check out some internet deals. It sometimes work out cheaper to book the flight and hotel together online.

Also, if you are planning to travel around in England, you can do so by coach. However, it can take forever to get to your destination but it is very cheap.
