Yes, sodium can react with commonly occurred acids to form hydrogen gas and salts.
It reacts with hydrochloric acid to form sodium chloride.
e.g. Na + HCl ---> H2 + NaCl
It reacts with nitric acid to form sodium nitrate
e.g. Na + HNO3 ---> H2 + NaNO3
It reacts with sulphuric acid to form sodium sulphate
e.g. Na + H2SO4 ---> H2 + Na2SO4
The reaction will appear explosively and the sodium metal will burn during the reaction. Suitable precaution should be taken, e.g. doing this experiment in fume cupboard
