Once upon a time, when I was still in primary school student, I have done a wrong thing that make me so proud of myself now. It happened in the summer 17 years before, at that time I am a primary school year 1 student. You know, there are whole bunch of school regulations in a primary school to shape our mental growth, to learn the sense of responsibility and so on. One of them is a student should always bring his/her own copy of textbook everyday, you cannot borrow it from classmate. That is also the regulation I have violated.
We have different set of lessons on each day. The textbooks are so heavy that no one wants to bring all of them to school everyday, not by my parent, not to say a primary student. It also means that we need to check our school bag everyday to remove all those textbook that would not be useful for tomorrow’s class and make sure we have brought all those we will need. One day, I stayed up for Super Mario Bros. 3, one of the most popular game in Nintendo console. As a consequence I woke up lately and I did not have enough time to get the correct set of textbooks in my school bag.
Finally I managed to go school on time, but my other worries popped up. How is today’s schedule resembles that of yesterday? I checked the time-table again and again, and found that I basically brought all the things I wanted, except the English textbook.
I felt hopeless, but I claimed myself down and checked with the school regulation again. It only read "you cannot borrow it from classmate". The light-bulb in my brain is switched on, I can get a textbook from somewhere other than my classmates as a substitute. But, how can I get another textbook when I am trapped in the school? Who else other than my classmates have the same copy of the textbook? I felt I am so brilliant that I could come up with an answer so quickly – the teacher of another class.
In recess time, I was eager to help my class monitor to bring our exercises to the staff room. Other people think that I must have something going on with the cute class monitor, but the real reason is that I wanted to sneak into the staff room. After I came in, I found that the English teacher of another class was having a nap! Thanks god! So I just stole her textbook, and have not published by my own English teacher.
But the story became more interesting when I found something inside that English book, it is actually a teacher’s edition. I brought it to home and had a photocopy of all those exercise solution. On the next day, I used the same trick to return the textbook to the staff room. This time she is not sleeping, so I just dropped the textbook somewhere beside her desk.
As a consequence of the solution, I got A in English for that year. Clever me.
