the sons of god saw the daughters of man were fair and took them wifes. Were the sons of God human or angels?

it must be understood that the term Sons of God refers to the descendants of adam that were created in the image and likeness of God ultimately making adam both human and devine therefore, his children would have to also be both human and devine thereby making the sons of God not devine creatures (angels) but devine humen which are men of hue:colored men. By the way, adam just so happened to be a black man. One love,Samepimpin.

Man was created in the image of God. 'Lets make man in our image" This is from Genesis. The sons of God were human men re noun men Giants in those times. New testaments scriptures said this, that the man or woman of God maybe complete and lack nothing. Lets not get hooked on the color of man at that time. Moses wife was of dark skin and that was mentioned. Solomon spoke of a lover that was black in the song of Solomon. Jesus was not black or white it was plain that he was a Jew or Hebrew. As a child of God saved and filled with the spirit I would say that we are Davine. We are certainly loved by God, saved or unsaved we are his creation. Angels worship God so do we, but they are heavenly creatures they do not marry nor are they given in marriage. Angels act on the direct instructions of God. Read revelations. There is no sex acts in heaven. There are different types of angels, war angels, messenger angels, angels of protection, guarding angels they have an assignment.
參考: What is color, when we or transfigured to heaven in the rapture, these bodies will not go with us. We have a spirit that lives in our body. It has no color. God is a spirit,a bright one so is his Glory. God feels and sees and hurt when we are disobediant. He said," I am a jealous God, do not put no other God before me." Now that Jesus came there is no difference in the Jew or any other man. He wants us all to be saved. Color makes no difference to Jesus.

You are quoting from the book of Enoch. It is not part of the Bible. So be careful not to mix the two.

However, to address your question, the story, indeed, says that these angels (the book of Enoch calls them angles) did violate God's orders and took human women as wives. The results were catastrophic monstrous offspring, giant sized creatures that died horrible deaths.

Back to the Bible, yes, we are all descendants of Adam and are all God's children made in his image and likeness. Adam was not made part human and part divine. He was man which is part animal (of the earth) and part divine (his eternal soul).

I don't know where you are getting the line about divine humans being men of hue. I have not read that anywhere. Can you cite the source for me?

As far as whether Adam was a black man, that seems very unlikely but so does the idea that Adam was white. I assume he was probably more like today's middle Eastern looking people. The reason this seems most likely is due to genetics. In simple terms, it just makes more sense that if you start somewhere in the middle of the color scale you have a much easier time accommodating all the variations of color we see in the human race. The genes that cause a person to be black are dominant genes. It stands to reason that if the human race started as black it would not have produced so many other lighter groups. The same goes for white genes. If the human race started out white it is very unlikely there would be blacks. The most likely is to say that it started out somewhere in the middle and then went in different directions.

Just my opinion based on logic. I don't pretend to know for sure.

:) Good question. If you look back at the creation parable, Adam and Eve (humankind) are promised they would be like divine beings and have their eyes opened for believing in good versus evil (eating fruit of good and bad). In the Noah parable, the divine beings (or in some translations the sons of God) is sarcasm. Men long ago would say they were gods, and people treated them like rock stars - women slept with them, people took care of them, worshipped them - the 'divine' beings were either pathological liars, opportunists, or had a psychosis. Ah, but the offspring of the 'divine' beings were a special case. Imagine how delusional you would be if your parents and family told you that you were a god? Imagine how grandiose and narcissistic you would be? That is the meaning of 'giants' and 'heroes of old' - sarcasm. They became giants in legends, and enormous statues were built in their honor, and outrageous stories were told of their escapades, and reality was out the window. It was then and later too...and sadly, as advanced as we seem to be, so many still believe in a zeus-like god and a hercules-like savior.

They were angels who became human for sex. At the flood, they returned to spirit form. These are the ones who joined with Satan and got thrown out of heaven with him.

Just because you want something to turn out your way doesn't mean the universe will oblige.

There is nothing to show that God made any distinctions between family lines at this early point in Genesis.
However, there is an explanation that finds corroborating evidence in the Scriptures. The expression "Sons of the true God" next occurs at Job 1:6 and here the reference is obviously to spirit sons of God assembled in God's presence, among whom Satan who had been "roving about in the earth",also appeared.

I believe that the sons of God refers to the good seed & the daughters of men to be considered bad seed.....Genesis is filled with different stories of one bad, one good..... sort of like today.....Keep in mind, this is just my opinion & that at this present moment, I have not received any revelation from Him confirming this for sure....as I sometimes do...

I don't think so, I think that the whole 'Sons of God' thing implies fairly strongly a 'descent' from a place above, in this case Heaven. Further I am pretty sure that through the Enki myths of the Sumerians, that at a certain point there was a physical 'fall' to earth, actually I am more than 'sure', but I don't want to get too freaky in this forum.

What happened after the 'fall' is that the 'angels' who were probably more advanced manifestations of human life than the earth-bound sort, but nonetheless were, in the dense physical environment of Earth, gradually succumbing to the same tendencies ( animal in origin ) as humankind. Thus the 'daughters of men', i.e. earth-women started to look pretty attractive to the 'fallen' ones.

Divine ? We're all 'divine' in the strictest sense of the word, but the 'Sons of God' were a stage or two closer to the 'source' than earth-bound humans.

Adam is merely derived from an ancient Sumerian script for 'man', i.e. a generic term.

With regard to colour of skin, I tend to agree that the original 'Adam', i.e. Earth-man was most probably of a darker skin tone, this would have been to do with the proximity of earth to Sol, the others, those we now call 'Oriental's' and 'Caucasians' ( I do not distinguish between Orientals and Native Americans as genetically they are too close to be considered different 'races' ). May have formed their genetic pigmentation due to different climatic conditions in the 'places' from which they originated.

Human life on earth did, with little room for doubt, start in Africa. But not all human life on Earth originated here. ;-)

Well, I believe Adam was a black man living in Africa, but he was not divine according to the Bible. We should not assume by ourselves he was divine. The "sons of God" was a part of the traditional Jewish tale, just like the ark thing. I do not take it literally.

Please check a lexicon of Hebrew. It will help you in the interpretation of this portion from the narrative of Genesis. The text you have cited is about the further degradation of creation that happens as a consequence of the exile from Eden and the growing alientation of humanity from God. Further, it is an etiological device placed in the text as a reference to fantastic stories about heroic figures capable of mighty deeds in a mythic past.

God lives in heaven with his angelic sons. These sons in heaven got to looking at the daughters of men on the earth and gave up their rightful place in heaven and materialized fleshly bodies on earth. They took wives for themselves..all that they wanted..they bore children called the Nephilim..they were bullies and giants.
Because the world was filled with violence from these ones God brought the deluge and drowned them and all the other disobedient ones.
The sons of God gave up their fleshly bodies and went back to the spirit realm but were in darkness spiritually from that point onward until Michael the arch angel threw them out of heaven to the vicinity of the earth.
