How to calculate the volume of a square?

A square is a 2-dimensional object and can only have area.

Definition of a square:
A 4-sided regular polygon with all sides equal and all internal angles 90°

Area of a square = the square of the length of a side, i.e. = length x length.


A cube is a 3-dimensional object and has volume.

Definition of a cube:
- block: a three-dimensional shape with six square or rectangular sides
- a hexahedron with six equal squares as faces

Volume of a cube = the cubic of the length of a side, i.e. = length x length x length.

I guess u mean is how to calculate the volume of a cube.
since it's length, width and height are the same, so the volume is length x width x height
e.g. the length of the cube is 30cm then its volume is 30 x 30 x 30 = 27000 cm3
