about coach tour in NZ south island

you can go to check intercity bus website http://www.intercitycoach.co.nz/ inside got a lot bus pass n coach line. Easy way is you plan where you go first, then go to intercity website to check the time n the bus stop. so u can easy to adjust the place n money.
(sometime even the same bus line can have diff price)

After u arrive the place go to the information center.. most of the town's information center are close to the coach stop/ in city (walk less then 5mins) you can go there to book accommodations, transportation, tour etc. check http://www.christchurchnz.net/ (christchurch is the biggest city in south island) or http://www.newzealandnz.com/ (national tour information website) tell them how much u want to spend for the accommodation, or activity.

If u want to do skiing check http://www.snowplanet.co.nz/(i think they got chinese) they got 7 location (2 in north island, 5 in south island) they got indoor n outdoor skiing location n price.

IF you planning to go to queenstown, (south island most activity town,, some lord of the ring scenic) you can chk http://www.queenstownnz.co.nz/ I know during july - sep they got queenstown winter event (but pls chk their local information center) thats fun also the accommodation maybe expensive during the event.

you don't need to bring any skiing items/gears. cos most ski field or ski shop in NZ you can rent the skiing gears from them. eg. http://www.cheapskatesnz.co.nz/

If 4 days, i'll start n end in chch.. day1: from chch- dunedin (otago uni is the first uni in NZ, also u can see some wild life animals)

If you go to Queenstown.. some of the bus will drop by Arrow town..For me (arrow town) they sell the best pie about NZ$3 (only 1 barkery on the concer of the main road) in south island ^^

fox glacier is franz Josef.. for sure they got backpacker or motel just go to information center.. (cos i stayed in the backpacker b4)

in NZ, you can just go to any information center.. it is nationalwide.. they can help u to book all the accomendations, just tell them where, how much, n when then they'll help u to find asap

I did not join local tour but travel with Intercity Bus. The bus driver also served as the tour guide and explain the places in English. As long as you know the schedule, you can hop on and off in your journey. On some famous top, they will allow a long stop off time for photos and rest. If you really want to join a bus tour, someone said Magic bus is nice. But someone said the people there having fun too much and sometimes very noisy. So, it depends on your style to pick your right choice.
