Watching films and television programmes with subtitles will enhance English standard. Whenever we come across anything new, jot them down, and revise them from time to time.

I found that watching news is very helpful. Turn on the English subtitle (if any). The news reporters speak more clearly than the actors in dramas and movies. And they use proper English most of the time.
