Recently, the globe is facing a lot of serious problems such as greenhouse effect, desertification, water pollution, waste treatment, air pollution, destruction of the ozone layer, soil erosion and extinction of organisms. For example, according to the estimation, there are more than two millions seabirds and a hundred thousand mammals died every year, which is because humans throw rubbish and waste everywhere. Rain forests, which are the homes for many rare species, are disappearing in a rate of ten millions hectares every year. Since the natural resources are going to be used up, and the environment is seriously destroyed, we must have eco-awareness.

Moreover, Hong Kong needs to give other countries a good image. Therefore all people should have the responsibility to protect the environment.
