Each side of a square is equal, as the perimeter is 240cm, thus each side of the square is 240/4 = 60cmSo, the areal of the square is 60 x 60 = 3600cm2
For general, the area is A = ( P/4 ) X ( P/4 ) cm2
where 'A' is the area of the square, and P is the perimeter of the square.
