Audi A5 特點?

The Audi A5 is a luxury coupé, which was unveiled simultaneously at the Geneva Motor Show and Melbourne International Motor Show on March 6, 2007 and is expected to be released by Audi later in the year. Audi has billed the large coupé as a grand tourer to compete against the likes of the BMW E92 (BMW 3-Series coupe) and the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class. On May 10, 2006, Audi confirmed that the A5 would go into production.

The A5 is the coupe variant of the next, 3rd generation, A4 model though unusually for a manufacturer Audi has launched the A5 before the saloon and estate of the next A4. The A5 also marks Audi's return to the mid-size coupe market since the (B3/B4) Audi 80 based Coupe model went of production in 1996 - the Mk 2 (B6/B7) A4 spawning a convertible variant but not a coupe.

The A5 is notable for its departure from Audi's trademark "overhung" engine mounting position over the front axle, in favour of the powertrain being located behind the front axle - in an effort to achieve a more even weight distribution (55/45) between the front and rear wheels.

The Audi A5 is the next model to be released following the second generation TT and R8 models. The A5 has adopted many elements of the Nuvolari concept which had a 600 bhp bi-turbo V10. The A5 will début with the 3.2 Liter V6 engine delivering 265 horsepower. The new A5 platform is based on a modular design that will also allow the next generation A4 and A6 models to benefit from the more rear situated engine placement.

The A5 is available with three engine options:

3.2L V6 FSI producing 265 PS (261 hp/195 kW)
1.8L TFSI producing 170 PS (125 kW)
2.7L V6 TDI producing 190 PS (187 hp/140 kW)
3.0L V6 TDI producing 240 PS (236 hp/176 kW)
There may also be an RS version of the A5 called the RS5. Its main competitor will be the BMW M3 coupe and will most probably have the 4.2L V8 from the RS4, producing 420 horsepower.


Audi S5
There was also an Audi S5, that shortly followed the release of the A5. The S5 is powered by a 4.2L V8 FSI producing 354 PS (349 hp/260 kW). It will have a more aggressive front end (as most S/RS series Audi's do). It will also include a string of LED headlights in addition to HID beams.
