bank confirmation

First of all, I disagree using the Bank Confirmation Form of TK Lo unless a prior consent has been obtained from the Firm. Frankly speaking, it is not so easy to elaborate items 4-18 in a few words. It will take a long passage just to give you some knowledge on item 6, 12, 14, 15, 16 etc..Don't panic. If you are working in a CPA firm, you should ask your seniors for advices or information. Your seniors will give you a hand to tackle it. If you are working in a company and your auditors ask you to send this out, this form is then to be signed by authorised persons e.g. director(s) and send it to the Bank. You are not required to put details in the form but in a blank form. The Bank will put in the details thereafter.

This Bank Confirmation Form ( BCF ) is not frequently used by Bank now. Most of the banks are using their own versions with more details provided but, of course, on those items as appeared in BCF.

I strongly recommend and suggest you have to learn the items in the Form stage by stage looking for some books with detailed description of operation say, the bills, L/C, Treasury Products etc..
This is a very good insight on the relationship of a business company with banks.
