Yang Kwei Fei/Yangguifei (1962, directed by Li Han-hsiang) won Grand Prix de la Commission Supérieure Technique du Cinéma Français at the 15th Cannes Film Festival for its achievement in colour cinematography.
1963 《梁山伯與祝英台》在港、台兩地屢創賣座紀錄，掀起黃梅調電影熱潮。

The Love Eterne/Liang Shanbo Yu Zhu Yingtai broke box office records in HK and Taiwan, lifting the curtain on the huangmei diao hit trend.

李翰祥離開邵氏兄弟，往台灣自組國聯公司。
Li Han-hsiang left SB and founded Grand (Guolian) Motion Picture Company in Taiwan.

1966 由胡金銓執導的《大醉俠》，標誌新派武俠潮流的形成。
邵氏兄弟另一官方雜誌《香港影畫》出版。
King Hu's Come Drink with Me/Da Zuixia marked the beginning of the 'new wuxia' (kungfu) era in Hong Kong cinema.

美國《生活雜誌》(Life)大幅報導邵氏影城風貌。
America's Life magazine published a feature article on the Shaw Movie Town.

1967 張徹導演、王羽主演的《獨臂刀》上映，票房超過一百萬港元，從此開創以男演員為主導的陽剛路線。
One-Armed Swordsman/Du Bi Dao, starring Jimmy Wang Yu and directed by Chang Cheh, hit the million dollar mark at HK box office. It also steered the cinema to a violent, male-centred dominance which Chang termed yang gang (staunch masculinity).


1969 方逸華加入邵氏兄弟，初在採購部工作。
Mona Fong joined SB and worked in the purchasing department.

1970 鄒文懷離開邵氏兄弟。
Raymond Chow left SB.
