According to the Loss Prevention Council Rules adopted by Fire Services Department as guideline of the installation of sprinkler system, it is statutory requirement to install jockey pump in the sprinkler system to maintain and stabilize the system pressure regardless of the location of the sprinkler pump.

Yes. It has to ensure the pressure can be attained to the required level, but not by gravity flow.
