The displacement-distance graph shows the displacement of the particles in longitudinal wave at a certain instant.Suppose the frequency of the wave is 3Hz.What is the average speed of particle A?
Why I can't use v=f入 to find the answer?
v=f入=3x2=6ms-1
ans:v=s/t=0.08/1/3=0.24ms-1

因為題目不是在問波速﹐而是問波上一個質點A的速率
兩者是不同的。
正確解法
particle A 完成一個週期所需的時間 (T)
=1/f
=(1/3) s
particle A 在一個週期中行走的距離
=4*A (A是振幅)
=4*0.02
=0.08 m
particle A 的速率 (average speed )
=s/t
=0.08/(1/3)
=0.24 ms^-1
